Florida Realtors® Supports Recovery Efforts After Sandy Disaster Relief Fund Donates $200K to NAR's Realtor Relief Fund
ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Florida's Realtors® reached out to fellow Realtors and others in the Northeast who are reeling from the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, pledging a $200,000 donation from the Florida Realtors® Disaster Relief Fund to go to the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) Realtor Relief Fund and help with recovery efforts.
The contribution was announced Sunday during NAR's 2012 Convention and Trade Expo, which took place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
"With a heavy heart, all of Florida's Realtors have watched the toll Sandy has taken on your families, homes and businesses," said 2012 Florida Realtors President Summer Greene, regional manager of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Florida 1st in Fort Lauderdale. "Florida knows first hand the devastation these storms cause both on and off the coastline – we understand and appreciate the tenacity it takes to rebuild and carry on for your families, friends and communities. As always, Realtors are leading the efforts to clean up and restore people's lives and livelihoods.
