Ford and Zipcar announced a strategic agreement establishing Ford as Zipcar's largest university vehicle partner, reaching students at more than 250 U.S. campuses. The first-of-its-kind, two-year agreement introduces a new generation of drivers to Ford, with the highly fuel-efficient Focus and Escape arriving on campuses this week. Ford gives consumers a green heads-up with new soy foam head restraints
Ford and Lear have introduced a new head restraint foam that has 25 percent of the polyol replaced with soy. Seventy-five percent of Ford's North American vehicles feature bio-foam in the head restraints, including F-150, Taurus, Explorer and Fusion. All Ford Motor Company vehicles built in North America use bio-foam in the seat cushions and backs, resulting in a significant reduction of petroleum-based foam for greener Ford products. more...
