ForkFly Appoints New Board Members

PORTLAND, Ore., June 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- ForkFly, a high tech startup based out of Portland, recently announced that Merrill Brown and Scott Kveton have joined the Board of Directors. Paul Wagner , CEO and Founder of ForkFly, has replaced Joe Orr as President of the Board. Orr remains on the Board as a Director.

Wagner said the addition of Kveton and Brown to ForkFly's Board "is an exciting development for the company." He added, "Scott's deep understanding of the mobile space and Merrill's experience in traditional and emerging media will be key in helping ForkFly scale."

Brown is the founder and principal of MMB Media LLC (MMB), based out of New York City, N.Y. MMB provides clients with business analysis, management and strategy consulting, editorial and program development and marketing services. He is also a partner in Propeller LLC, a New York consultancy. Brown was the first editor-in-chief of MSNBC.com and is internationally recognized for his work in print, broadcast and Internet media outlets.

Kveton is the CEO of Urban Airship (UA), a mobile services platform provider in Portland, Ore. He is widely recognized as an expert on mobile app strategy and cloud infrastructure, and speaks frequently on app monetization, engagement and the developer ecosystems around the various mobile platforms. Prior to co-founding UA, Kveton had more than a dozen years of experience building technology, developing business strategy and leading engineering teams with companies including Amazon.com, Rulespace, JanRain and Vidoop.
