Former FOX Chief National Correspondent, Jim Angle, speaks on Britain's election and use of US campaign strategies during trip in Europe
LONDON, May 7, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- FOX News former Chief National Correspondent, Jim Angle comments on the similarities of campaign strategies in Britain's election to the US elections, during a speech at the prestigious Carlton Club in London.
Jim Angle, who was a part of the original group to bring FOX NEWS to the air in 1996 spoke to the Carlton Club and a group of American ex-pats living in England. Angle spoke, during a trip to Europe, comparing how OBAMA's social media strategy is being copied and deployed in the British election.
"Working within the campaign restrictions of limited campaign spending, the British have learned from the Obama campaign that social media is the best way to reach out to potential voters," said Jim Angle, former FOX News Chief National Correspondent. "The Labour party hired David Axelrod embracing Obama's social media strategy. To combat Labour's adoption of the U.S. election strategy, the Tories hired Jim Messina. This is a clear indication that the strategy of the Obama Campaign, in UK elections, is perceived as a winning strategy to capture the attention of voters,'' said Angle.
"To have a fair and balanced reporter to be with us during the UK elections with objectivity, honesty and frank comments gives a realistic perspective to overseas Americans," said Dr. Jan Halper-Hayes, of Republicans Overseas and organizer of Jim's trip in Great Britain. "His unbiased insight and perspective into politics and policy is so important to hear as we focus on the election challenges here in the UK," said Halper.
Jim Angle, who left FOX this past December, to pursue other interests, is praised by Columnist Nat Hentoff among others as "One of the most fair, incisive, and informed investigative reporters on the Washington scene."
