Formula 1's Elvis and Financial Times Columnist Weigh In on Shared Services
LONDON, February 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
The Shared Services & Outsourcing Network (SSON) has partnered with Marc Priestley, also known as the Formula 1 industry's Elvis, and Ade McCormack, a regular Financial Times columnist specialising in digital strategy, for the 15th Annual European Shared Services & Outsourcing Week, to share their individual view-points and specific knowledge areas to the wider Shared Services and Outsourcing industry.
This partnership comes during SSON's 15th Anniversary of their Flagship European Conference, which will be held at the Beurs van Berlage, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, from 19 - 21 May, 2015. McCormack will present a "Big Ideas Keynote" at the event, which will focus on a special look into digital strategy, and linking this into the current hot topic within the Shared Services and Outsourcing community: Robotic Process Automation. Priestley will also be presenting a "Big Ideas Keynote", comparing his work in securing marginal gains as a mechanic on the McLaren Formula 1 pit crew, to the shared services equivalent, where the aggregation of marginal gains can make transformative ripples in the industry.
The Shared Services & Outsourcing Week is a networking and benchmarking platform for SS&O practitioners, analyst firms and industry leaders, catering to executives from different functions (HR, Finance, Accounting, Procurement and Multi-Function), cross-industry (including Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Hospitality and Banking/Finance) and SSC maturities (Planning & Launching to GBS).
In preparation for the European Shared Services & Outsourcing Week, SSON has released a Mid-Market Report, specifically looking at the European small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) market landscape for the Shared Services & Outsourcing sector.
Copies of the report are fully downloadable from the event website here, at no cost. A copy can also be requested via email at [email protected].
This week, the Brochure for the event was also released, complete with a range of brand new speakers, workshops, site tours, sponsor organisations, and a new look for the regional SSON Excellence Awards, the ceremony of which will be conducted onsite during the event.
Confirmed speakers are CXOs, Global Heads, SVPs and Directors from companies including AstraZeneca, eBay, PepsiCo, Siemens, Specsavers, Vodafone, and Zurich. Tickets to the event, which takes place May 19-21, 2015 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, are available on http://www.ssoweek.com; conference pass fees will apply.
