Fortuna Announces Changes in the Board of Directors
VANCOUVER, July 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. (TSX: FVI / Lima Stock Exchange: FVI) - Mr. Simon Ridgway, Chairman of the Board, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Robert R. Gilmore to the Board of Directors of Fortuna.
Mr. Gilmore is a graduate of the University of Denver with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Accounting. Mr. Gilmore is a Certified Public Accountant and a Member of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of CPAs. Mr. Gilmore has more than 30 years of experience working with resource companies and currently serves as Chairman of the Board for Eldorado Gold Corporation and as a Director for Layne Christensen Company.
Mr. Ridgway also announces that the Company has accepted the resignation of Mr. Richard Clark as a Director of the Company. Mr. Clark is President and CEO of Red Back Mining Inc. and has been a director of Fortuna since 2008. He leaves the Board of Fortuna to concentrate his efforts on the development of Red Back.
