Pythagoras Solar Launches Advisory Board to Support Technical Innovation and Further the Development of Advanced Solar Power Window Technology
SAN MATEO, Calif. and TEL AVIV, Israel, Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Pythagoras Solar, a provider of advanced building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) products, today announced that it has garnered support from a world-class team of technical and business advisors including Pamela Samuels, a Principal at TRIO Partners LLC and President of Corridor Holdings Corporation, and Rob Watson, Chairman, CEO and Chief Scientist of EcoTech International. Ms. Samuels brings extensive experience from New York's leading development firms, including Extell Development Company, where she led projects such as a multi-billion-dollar transit-oriented development. She also worked with The Clarett Group where she was overseeing the acquisitions, financing and development of several projects exceeding $500 million. Mr. Watson has 25 years of experience in green building and is commonly referred to as the "founding father" of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), the green building industry rating system of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), which has become the de-facto standard for green construction. Mr. Watson's work to bring green building to China was honored by China's Ministry of Construction (MOC) with its first Green Innovation Award.
"Time has come to change the buildings in which we live and work and make them far more energy-efficient and self-powered. We, at Pythagoras Solar, created this advisory board to enable us to more effectively seize the immense opportunities our products present to us in our market. We are honored to have Rob Watson, an international pioneer in the modern green building movement, and Pamela Samuels, a committed driving force for solar developments and BIPV investments, join us in this effort," said Gonen Fink, Co-Founder and CEO, Pythagoras Solar. "We believe that these two industry champions will complement our existing thought leadership team and through this collaboration, we can draw on their individual areas of expertise to take Pythagoras Solar to the next level."
As advisors to Pythagoras Solar, Ms. Samuels and Mr. Watson will contribute their expertise to Pythagoras Solar's executive team, specifically focusing on critical business strategy and bringing Pythagoras' innovative products to the global construction market. The goal for these alliances is to enhance Pythagoras Solar's mission to accelerate BIPV technology for net zero energy buildings and address the growing global demand for electricity through renewable energy solutions. In addition, these industry leaders will help broaden the awareness of the mass market potential for BIPV technology to make buildings more sustainable, energy-efficient and profitable.
"Dense urban centers and massive commercial buildings are at the heart of the scalability issue for energy efficiency," said Pamela Samuels, Principal, TRIO Partners LLC and President, Corridor Holdings Corporation. "I believe it is possible to make a true impact on climate change if we face these daunting cores head-on with smart, adaptable solutions that produce solid paybacks in short timeframes."
"Buildings account for nearly 50 percent of the world's total energy consumption, which is why I am dedicated to trying to revolutionize the building industry and make sustainability a reality across the globe," said Rob Watson, Chairman, CEO and Chief Scientist, EcoTech International. "I'm honored to work with Pythagoras Solar because of their drive and passion to make the world a better place. I believe their unique combination of energy efficiency, high power density and transparency will revolutionize the solar industry."
