SEATTLE, June 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Baristas Coffee Company, Inc. (OTCPK: BCCI) announces that Robert Palmer Jr. has joined Baristas as its Director of Franchise Development.
Robert Palmer Jr. www.robertpalmerjr.com is a recognized leader in the franchise industry having developed several nationally known franchise concepts since 1978. He was the original founder and developer of Grease Monkey International, Inc. which became the largest independently owned chain of quick oil change centers in America. Mr. Palmer served as the President of Grease Monkey while it was traded on the NASDAQ stock exchange and has served as president of several other publically traded companies such as USA Fast Lube Systems and Uptown Restaurant Group, Inc. Most USA Fast Lube Systems are now Texaco Express Lubes, and Uptown operated and franchised over 350 restaurant concept locations including New York Burrito Gourmet Wraps, 1 Potato 2, Fasta Pasta, and NY Fresh Deli. Mr. Palmer has also been involved in the development and direct sales of close to 1000 franchise locations worldwide primarily multiple quick service restaurants, auto service centers, home renovations, and senior care. In addition, he was instrumental in the development of the Re-Bath Bathtub Liners which became the largest bathtub remodeler in the nation.
