Franklin, Tennessee Voted 'Best' by Tennessee Magazine
Reader's Poll Says Franklin is Best Middle TN Town to Visit
FRANKLIN, Tenn., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Franklin has turned up on the "Best" list, twice this time, in the October issue of The Tennessee Magazine. Franklin was voted "Best Middle Tennessee Town Square" and "Best Middle Tennessee Town to Visit" by a readers' poll conducted earlier this year. Readers selected their preferences in 34 categories.
"This is a great honor to be chosen by the citizens of Tennessee as the best town square and best town to visit," said Mayor John Schroer. "I've lived in Franklin 35 years and being a native of Franklin, I've known this for a long time. What makes Franklin the best is the wonderful people that live here, those who work to preserve our history and those who promote new economic opportunities for business, residents and visitors. We are proud of our heritage and the unique spirit that makes Franklin special, and obviously our little secret is becoming well known to the entire state."
The Tennessee Magazine is published by the Tennessee Electric Cooperative Association and boasts more than one million readers across the state.
"To receive this type of recognition by the vote of the people is always the highest honor. The Tennessee Magazine does such a good job reminding us about the places that make this state so special and unique," said Mark Shore, Executive Director for the Williamson County Convention & Visitors Bureau. "Franklin's town square is iconic and the City of Franklin genuinely strives to make this a destination of choice for visitors. We hope this accolade continues to let Tennesseans know they are always welcome in Franklin."
