FRC Action PAC Celebrates Victories in 9 Senate Races, GOP Must Now Fulfill Promises
WASHINGTON, Nov. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, Family Research Council Action PAC celebrated sweeping victories for FRC Action PAC endorsed candidates in Arkansas, Kansas, North Carolina, Montana, Nebraska, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Kentucky, and Iowa.
FRC Action's Tony Perkins made the following comments
"President Obama wasn't on the ballot today, but his policies certainly were - and the American people have chosen to send a message to the President via Republican Express. That message is that Americans have had enough of his failed policies that have hampered our economy, endangered our nation's security, threatened our families and trampled upon our religious freedoms.
"While a lot of the attention is on the Democrats' mishandling of big-ticket issues like national security and health care, there's no mistaking the strong undercurrent of social values. Both Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) and U.S. Rep. Tom Cotton are examples of candidates who embraced values voters and values voters responded by embracing them.
"In a year that saw mayors subpoena pastors, judges trash marriage amendments, and HHS strong-arm pro-lifers, the values momentum was a turning point -- not just for Congress, but for the nation. Voters nationalized the election which appears to be just what the moderate GOP candidates needed to get them across the finish line, since they've been unable to close the deal with voters themselves.
"The ability of the Republicans to keep their new Congressional majority and pave the GOP's way to the White House in 2016 will require them to use their majority to hold the President accountable and immediately begin repairing the damage that President Obama has done to this country," concluded Perkins.
