MANCHESTER, England, April 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Fred and Peter Done, the founders and owners of Betfred and Peninsula Business Services continue to expand their business portfolio and nurture their passion for helping budding entrepreneurs emulate their own success. The latest venture is to back Active Win Media Ltd which is a new start-up based in the heart of city centre Manchester focused on providing marketing services and developing traffic for online and mobile operations.
The business has been founded by MD Warren Jacobs who has taken a huge leap and moved with his family to Manchester from Tel Aviv and spent the past few months kitting out the offices, developing systems and hiring a team of local staff. His vision is to build a dedicated workforce of 50 staff within the next 10 months and a profitable business by providing expert marketing services. Warren's background, originally moving from Glasgow to join the Israeli Army special forces and after 3 years of duty he then went on to become Deputy Brand Manager for Chevy, Buick and Vauxhall and then spent the remaining 9 years in Israel as one of the original team at gaming Giant Europartners, which is one of the most successful online marketing companies in online gaming and was recently acquired by Playtech PLC for £230m. The online gaming sector has grown rapidly over the past ten years and much of this growth is based on aggressive online and affiliate marketing. The majority of this expertise is provided by specialist firms in Israel who have helped companies such as William Hill, Playtech, Gala Coral etc achieve phenomenal growth.
It is Warren's view that the skills, knowledge and experience gained within the gaming space can be equally applied to other industries and sectors and this is the basis of the Active Win Media business model. Active Win's unique model is to drive traffic, build affiliate networks and manage online media using a business model which operates at very low cost and low risk for the customer.
Warren Jacobs added,
"The key to online success and rapid growth for any online business is to drive new traffic and customers to your business at as low a cost as possible and to use a blend of specialist techniques backed up by minute to minute evaluation and assessment of results. The gaming industry thrives on this science and numbers based approach and at Active Win Media we already have the tools, the databases, the traffic and the people to replicate this model. I have chosen Manchester as the base for the new business as it is an exciting, and vibrant city which has a focus on technology and commerce and as the birthplace of the computer and home to the largest student population in Europe we have access to a fantastic workforce to build the business."
Active Win Media is one of a number of new ventures which the brothers will be backing and Fred said,
"The idea is to provide exciting new businesses with the tools they need for rapid growth and success which may need include funding, office space, IT, HR etc but most importantly the mentoring and guidance we are able to provide with 50 years of experience building businesses in the UK and the North West."
Active Win Media will be standalone from Betfred, but will provide marketing services to the Betfred.com online and mobile businesses.
Over the past few years, Betfred.com has grown significantly but recognized that to continue its development the business needed to work with a specialist agency in the field of affiliate management and other online marketing activity. Chris Sheffield, the Managing Director of Betfred.com added,
"Warren is one of the best in the industry and this is a very exciting project. Mobile in particular, is highly specialized but growing very quickly and already accounts for over 50 percent of Betfred.com profit and as a catalyst in this space the gaming industry is being transformed by the usage of mobile devices. Active Win Media are already making a huge impact after only 4 weeks driving thousands of new customers to our website and mobile apps and I am certain other customers in the gaming space and other sectors such as e-commerce, travel, finance, distance shopping etc will benefit from these services as well."
