Frederic W. Cook & Co., Inc. Launches Boston Office
NEW YORK, July 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Frederic W. Cook & Co., Inc., a leading consulting firm to corporate boards of directors and top management on executive compensation, announced today it has opened an office in Boston, its eighth across the country, joining New York City; Tarrytown, NY; Chicago; Los Angeles; San Francisco; Atlanta; and Houston.
George Paulin, Cook's chairman and chief executive officer, said Matthew Stinner will lead the office, along with Theodore Sharp.
Stinner was a senior managing director and Executive Committee Member at Pearl Meyer & Partners, where he formerly headed their Boston office and worked with boards and management teams on all issues related to executive compensation. He has experience in a variety of industries, with an emphasis on companies in the technology and life sciences area. Previously, he was a principal at Mercer Human Resource Consulting and a partner at Arthur Andersen LLP. He also served as a manager of ERISA compliance at Fidelity Investments. He has a B.A. from Hamilton College and a J.D. from Boston College Law School.
Sharp, a former managing director in the Boston office of Pearl Meyer & Partners, is an expert on all facets of executive compensation and has extensive experience in the design, implementation and legal aspects of retirement programs, welfare plans and benefits. Before joining Pearl Meyer & Partners in 2003, he was a director in the Boston office of PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, in charge of the Total Compensation Practice. He also has prior experience at Arthur Anderson, LLP and Fidelity Investments. Sharp has a B.S. from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado and a J.D. from Northeastern University. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar.
