Free Children's Activity Book Available for Download

HARRISBURG, Pa., Feb. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- United Concordia Dental is offering a free oral health activity book for children, ages 4-11, via download from the company's website during National Children's Dental Health Month in February.  

"Oral health issues affect everyone," said James Bramson , D.D.S., chief dental officer for United Concordia Dental. "In 2009, about 17 million low-income children did not receive dental care, while almost 60 percent of all children, ages 5-17, in 2000 had cavities. Our activity book is designed to teach children, in a fun and engaging way, healthy dental habits that last a lifetime."

The activity book includes tips for a healthy smile; games, such as mazes, crossword puzzles, word searches and word scrambles; coloring pages; and more related to the importance of good oral hygiene and dental wellness.

The oral health activity book is located on United Concordia's website in the Kids' Corner section, which features a number of online games and activities for children featuring the characters Becky Brush and Matty Molar. Additionally, the alligator, lion and horse from United Concordia's new mobile app called Chomper Chums™,  a brushing companion designed to teach proper brushing, rinsing and flossing habits to children ages 4-11, join Becky and Matty in the activity book. The app, released earlier this month, is available for free download on the dental insurer's website.
