SYDNEY, Nov. 10, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Freelancer.com Chief Executive, Matt Barrie will give a keynote speech during CSIRO Broadband for Society Summit on Monday the 15th November, 2010.
Australia's national science agency, CSIRO, is hosting a summit examining ways of realising the country's broadband future: innovative science, better services and new business. The five day summit will be held in the island state of Tasmania, which is where the national broadband network (NBN) is initially rolling out. Showcased at the summit will be CSIRO technologies that enable, and are enabled by, widespread broadband connectivity. The first day will focus on Doing Business with Broadband, where Mr. Barrie will be speaking.
"I am honoured and excited to be joining in the discussion," said Matt Barrie. "As network speeds increase and technology advances, more and more industries are able to be digitised and conducted over the Internet. Increasingly our future will be interacting with a virtual workforce from all over the planet as we go about our daily lives. I look forward to exploring these ideas at the CSIRO Broadband for Society Summit."
The CSIRO Broadband for Society Summit commences on Monday, November 15th and continues through to Friday the 19th.
