Proceeds to Benefit Impoverished Students and Ensure They Receive Three Meals a Day at Fresh and Green Academy, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
NEW YORK, May 2, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Friends of Fresh and Green Academy Inc, a registered non-profit charity that works to feed, educate, clothe, and provide medical care for children in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, is hosting its Second Annual More Good Karma Charity Fundraiser on Thursday, May 3, 2012. The event will be held in Manhattan at Cielo, 18 Little West 12th Street, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The evening's festivities include music arranged by DJ Brodii, edibles prepared by Nichole Adriane: The Urban Chic Chef, and great raffle prizes. Raffle prizes include Broadway show tickets, yoga packages, art, and high-end hair salon services.
"It's all for a great cause -- children, nutrition and education," says Trish Hack-Rubinstein, President and Co-founder of Friends of Fresh and Green Academy Inc. "Guests can enjoy great music, food and drinks while learning more about what we do. We have hand-made goods made by our students' mothers available for purchase in addition to an opportunity to learn more about each child. It's so easy to help on a consistent basis by joining our Child-Sponsorship Program.
"The money raised will ensure the children at the Academy continue to eat three meals a day. Last year's Good Karma Fundraiser raised more than $5,000 to benefit the students, and we're hoping to double that this year."
Tickets can be purchased in advance online for $50 at http://www.FriendsOfFreshAndGreen.com through the night of the event at the door. Even if you cannot attend, feel free to be a part of this year's More Good Karma by making a donation online.
