From Notorious Runway To National Retail Via QVC
Winner of Lifetimes®'s Project Runway All Stars™ to Present Collection on QVC
WEST CHESTER, Pa., Jan. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The third season of Lifetime®'s Project Runway All Stars™ culminates this evening with an amazing opportunity for the winning designer. The well-deserving victor will not only design a collection for global multimedia retailer QVC, but is also scheduled to appear on the live broadcast Monday, January 13 at 7 PM (ET) during "PM Style with Lisa Robertson."
The eagerly sought-after grand prize opportunity will reunite the winner with QVC Program Host Lisa Robertson who presented the contestants with a challenge and served as a guest judge earlier this season. It will also afford the winning designer the chance to present several pieces to a potential audience of over 100 million U.S. homes. In addition to the appearance on Monday evening, the top designer is scheduled to be a part of QVC's "Red Carpet Style – Live from L.A." broadcast on February 28.
"QVC strives to bring viewers unique programming moments and exciting new brands," commented Karen Fonner, vice president of content marketing and programming for QVC. "We are honored to introduce a talented designer of Project Runway All Stars caliber to our customers who look to us for compelling personalities and great fashion finds."
This season's challengers became well acquainted with the leading video and ecommerce retailer through its sponsorship of the Accessory Wall, which featured QVC products to complement their designs. In December, Korto Momolu also appeared on QVC to present a ready-to-wear version of her winning design from the "As Sewn on TV" challenge that Robertson helped judge. Additionally, QVC has created an immersive experience on its multiplatform network, featuring show content as well as products inspired by the designer's themed challenges.
"Working with QVC has been a hugely successful and creative collaboration. Our goal is to showcase the incredible talent of the Project Runway All Stars designers, and QVC is the perfect platform to provide direct access between designers and the fashion-conscious audience. Thanks to QVC, we are now able to turn our designers' TV success into tangible business opportunities," said Rob Bagshaw, executive producer on Project Runway All Stars.
Designs from the winner's capsule collection are scheduled to be available on QVC.com beginning January 10. Tune in to QVC Monday, January 13 at 7 PM (ET) to see the designer present the pieces live during "PM Style with Lisa Robertson."
