Black Lab Remi's energy level and lack of focus were too much for five different owners who surrendered him. Edgar the Malinois was adopted as an injured 4-month-old with multiple orthopedic surgeries in his future. Despite the potential for heartbreaking journeys, these four dogs with uncertain futures would eventually each find an owner whose love and dedication to taking good care of them brought out their best attributes and made them champion athletes. Now, their stories are being told in a heart-warming video series from VetriScience® that celebrates the bond between humans and their best fur friends.

Spinner, Remi, Edgar and Fala have all overcome their individual obstacles and won competitions at the DockDogs World Championship – the culminating event in a series of DockDogs events throughout the country for canines that excel at jumping, retrieving and swimming.

Each video in the Take Good Care Series presented by VetriScience® begins with the dog's owner talking about meeting their furever friend and the challenges – from behavioral issues to cancer and loss of vision – that were overcome to give their dog a shot at being a top canine athlete.

At the same time, the series illustrates the bond that exists between the dogs and their humans and how the dogs take good care of their owners in return.

Season One of the series will have three more videos that share stories of Champion Dock Dogs. Season Two will broaden to include stories of service, working, and therapy dogs, and continue to chronicle inspirational stories of the unbreakable bond and love between dogs and their humans.
