FSC Australia Names SCS Global Services as Certification Body of the Year at 2012 Awards Ceremony

EMERYVILLE, Calif, Dec. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) Australia named third-party auditor SCS Global Services its "Certification Body of the Year" at its Annual Excellence Awards 2012 ceremony held in Melbourne on November 26th. SCS, which is accredited to perform audits under FSC's standards for responsible forestry and chain-of-custody, was recognized for its educational activities that raised awareness of the FSC system and excellent stakeholder engagement.

Capobianco is a member of FSC Australia, and has been involved in supporting a number of FSC Australia initiatives, including FSC Australia Knowledge Tree events, member of the 2012 Organizing Committee, and assisting with a submission to the Green Building Council of Australia regarding recognition of the FSC Project Certification Standard for compliance to the Green Star Timber Credit. In 2012 he delivered eight presentations on FSC Chain of Custody and FSC Project certification in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane which were individually sponsored by FSC Australia members Tetrapak, Planet Ark and TABMA.
