FURYU Corporation of Japan Debuts the PURIBOOTH in the U.S. Market
New Photo Booth Promises Stunning Photo Entertainment
ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- FURYU Corporation, a leader in the Japanese entertainment market including photo booths, arcade prizes, mobile content and media, and video game software, today announced it is starting sales of the PURIBOOTH, its first photo booth designed specifically for international markets, in the United States in November 2014.
FURYU is debuting the PURIBOOTH at IAAPA Attractions Expo 2014, opening from November 18th to 24th in Orlando, Florida, under the sponsorship of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions.
The PURIBOOTH combines the best of "Japan technology" with the proven marketing expertise that has made FURYU the unrivaled market leader in Japan's highly competitive photo booth market. The booth's hardware adopts a state-of-the-art single-lens reflex (SLR) camera, studio-quality strobe lights and other photographic equipment customized for photo booth use. FURYU has also worked on the software side, one of the features that sets it apart from the competition, incorporating advanced image-processing for photo optimization, easy-to-use touch-interface operation, and a rich and customizable set of backgrounds and decorations.
FURYU has reflected extensive research of the U.S. market in its development of the PURIBOOTH. Yoshiro Tasaka, President of FURYU Corporation, comments, "This is much more than an export. The PURIBOOTH is a walk-in photo booth with a curtain from the top rail to about shoulder height, so users can enjoy a level of privacy as they pose for the camera. Four to six people can stand within range of the camera, which takes four photos per usage. After the usage fee is paid, users are guided through the process of selecting a background, posing, selecting their favorite shots and decorating them before the final output is printed on photo-paper stickers. Users can also share their images via popular social networks and even download them to their smart devices by registering for the free PURIFUN image database service. Registration is free and simple, and can be completed on the spot. The first use is gratis.
A compact footprint and caster wheels make the PURIBOOTH suitable for installation in amusement parks, amusement centers, shopping malls, event facilities and anywhere else where people gather to enjoy leisure time together. Installation and initial setup are simple for operators, who can open them to customers within hours of booth delivery.
Following the PURIBOOTH exhibit at IAAPA Attractions Expo 2014, FURYU will open the first commercial PURIBOOTHs in December 2014 at Dave & Buster's at LA-Hollywood in California and in March 2015 at the Japan Society, an American nonprofit organization for mutual understanding between the United States and Japan, in New York City, New York. Inquiries and orders for other locations are now being accepted, and full scale shipments are expected to begin in January 2015. The company has set the long-term goal of achieving annual photo booth sales in the United States of about 2.6 billion yen (approx. US$22 million), which is equal to the size of the market in Japan.
