g-MEO Partners with AIEF to Establish the g-MEO-AIEF Chengdu American Center for Study Abroad Scholarship

NEW YORK, Oct. 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Maximum Educational Opportunities, Inc. (g-MEO) together with the American International Education Foundation has established the g-MEO-AIEF Chengdu American Center for Study Abroad Scholarship.

Located in the capital of China's Sichuan Province, g-MEO's Chengdu American Center for Study Abroad provides Sophomores and Juniors the opportunity to study abroad at the Center for a semester or full academic year and take U.S. developed courses in the areas of Business and Management, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), Humanities and Social Sciences, and China Studies as well as Mandarin language courses for various levels of proficiency by faculty members of several U.S. and China universities and colleges. Students interested in combining their academic experience with experiential learning opportunities also have the ability to engage in internship or volunteer activities with various organizations outside of the classroom while attending the Center for their study abroad experience.

The g-MEO-AIEF Chengdu American Center for Study Abroad Scholarship is a merit based scholarship that will be awarded to ten students admitted to the program for the Spring 2013 semester with a RMB3,000 scholarship for four months (RMB12,000 in total paid in monthly installments) to assist with their living expenses while studying abroad at the Center. Eligibility requirements for the scholarship include a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher, in addition to a 500 word essay highlighting how attendance at the Center is expected to impact students' long term academic and professional careers and endeavors.
