CHICAGO, May 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- G2 Crowd, the trusted source for business software reviews, has announced the impending release of the Grids for CRM and Marketing Automation. The Grid, scheduled for release on June 1, 2013, leverages real-time algorithms and big data to rank vendors into quadrants – the top vendors will be labeled "Leaders," followed by "Innovators," and "Challengers." The least-recommended vendors will be labeled as "Caution."
These grids will prove to be an extremely useful resource to users of CRM and Marketing Automation systems. Consumers already depend upon reliable sites such as Yelp and Amazon, where users review everything from corner barbershops to high-end restaurants. Now, G2 Crowd is introducing an analogous – and much-needed – tool for enterprise software buyers. Entire companies, from sales and marketing teams to IT departments to executives, will benefit from the insights generated by this service.
The Grid ratings generate algorithmically in real time based on big data captured from peer reviews and social signals. These social signals measure and analyze how the reviewed products are doing based on the strength of their online presence – Twitter followers, web traffic trends, Klout score, sentiment, employees on LinkedIn, and more. Overall, the Grid cuts through marketing noise to determine how well a product is really faring in the eyes of the users and the marketplace.
The main weight of the ratings, however, will come from thousands of reviews written by users, who have unique insight into the actual functionality and performance of these programs. To date, G2 Crowd users have rated Salesforce.com and Microsoft Dynamics as the Leaders in CRM. So far users have rated Pardot, Eloqua (Oracle), Hubspot, and Marketo as the Leaders in Marketing Automation. Additional user ratings and reviews submitted on or before May 30 will determine the final Grid rankings.
