Garnero and Clini presented in Vatican the last plans to the World Youth Journey
ROME, April 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Mario Garnero, Chairman of Brasilinvest Group and president of Forum das Americas, presented this morning the last plans for the accomplishment of the World Youth Foundation along with IMELS (Italian Ministry of Environment, Land and Sea) and John Paul II Youth Foundation
The meeting took place at Palazzo Pio, inside Vatican City and Mr. Corrado Clini, Italian Ministry of Environment Land and Sea and Marcelo Bedeschi, President of John Paul II Youth Foundation presented the projects along with Mr. Garnero. It was decided that Forum das Americas besides helping on the logistics of the event, that will represent the first visit of Pope Francis to Brazil, will also create along with IMELS a program of sustainable initiatives that will follow the document created during Rio + 20 convention "The future that we want". The inclusion of the theme was strengthening after Pope Francis tweeted: "let us be loving custodians of creation.".
The journey will happen in Rio de Janeiro, between July 23rd and 28th. Besides Pope Francis, President Dilma Rousseff also confirmed her presence. "A meeting so meaningful for the youth all over the world has to be used as a moment of reflection – and, why not, a moment of searching for solutions. The preservation of the environment is certainly a Christian act," said Garnero.
