MIAMI, Jan. 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Gaumard® Scientific Company today announced that it is exhibiting the Victoria™ Tetherless Maternal and Neonatal Birthing Simulator's many advanced capabilities at The International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare (IMSH) through Jan. 20 at the San Diego Convention Center. With the most features of any simulator, the fully tetherless and wireless Victoria already meets the rigorous requirements of obstetrics programs and now she takes the learning experience one step further with the addition of new accessories for gynecologic and nursing programs. Victoria users now have access to three simulators in one complete package for improved educational opportunities and reduced acquisition costs.
The recently launched Nursing and Gynecologic Pack adds non-gravid features to Victoria for "head-to-toe" assessments and routine exams as may be performed by GYN nurses, physician interns, or residents. Additionally, an all-new Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) leg introduced at IMSH enables practitioners to simulate care for patients with the all too common issue of thrombosis in pregnancy and further enhances Victoria's realism.
Health care education programs using Victoria benefit not just from her mobility and realism, but also from the ability to train for everything from the many complexities that may arise during childbirth and postpartum care of the mother and newborn to nursing and gynecologic clinical assessments.
John Eggert, Gaumard's executive vice president, said: "The response to Victoria this IMSH has been fantastic. All of our simulators are designed based on the feedback and needs of our customers. Victoria was launched as the most realistic and advanced simulator for health care professionals. Due to our continued support and development, Victoria remains the most realistic and advanced. With new functionality, our truly multifaceted Victoria addresses the requirements of obstetrics, gynecology and nursing programs without requiring that customers purchase multiple simulators."
Gaumard's large-scale product display of innovative simulators will be at booth number 615.
