This is the fourth consecutive year the company will provide the RECS, which will be Green-e® Energy Certified. They are targeted to match the electricity consumed during the two-day expo held March 6-7 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pa.
A Green-e® Certified REC represents the environmental attributes of electricity generated from wind, solar or other renewable generation facilities that meet certain vintage and production standards. Organizations may use RECs to offset their indirect greenhouse gas emissions and help support the operation and development of domestic sources of clean, renewable energy.
"We're excited to continue our relationship with the Association of Energy Engineers and Globalcon," said David Coffman, Vice President of Marketing for GDF SUEZ Energy Resources. "Environmental responsibility is an important priority for us, and we're proud to once again support AEE in its efforts to use clean, renewable energy sources."
Globalcon 2013 is aimed at decision-makers from business, industry and government who are seeking energy solutions that assure a safe, secure power supply and effective management of costs. Attendees can visit the GDF SUEZ Energy Resources booth, No. 707, to see how the company can assist them with strategies for mitigating commodity market risks, managing demand and consumption, and maximizing the opportunities in a competitive energy marketplace.
"It's an honor to have the continued backing of an industry leader like GDF SUEZ Energy Resources," said AEE Executive Albert Thumann. "These professionals understand the critical role sustainable best practices play in building successful energy management strategies, and we're thankful to have them contribute in such a meaningful way to Globalcon 2013."
