REDWOOD CITY, Calif., BARCELONA, Spain and EDINBURGH, U.K., Jan. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Gigle Networks, the leading developer of intelligent multi-PHY switching devices for both wired and wireless entertainment grade home networking, today announced that Gemtek, a leading maker of broadband networking products , has developed new Powerline communications products using Gigle's GGL541 dual-channel and GGL301 200Mb HomePlug® AV home networking solutions.

Gigle's GGL541 offers the highest performance of any wireline IC, including up to 1Gbps data rates over the home's existing AC powerlines with the company's Mediaxtream(TM) technology, and 200Mbps over Powerline using industry-standard HomePlug AV technology. Gemtek has integrated the GGL541 and GGL301 into a wall-mounted Ethernet adapter that enables high-performance home networking over the home's existing powerlines.
