Caron will discuss Mildred, a 98-year old heart failure patient who still lives independently. She uses Geneia's home monitoring device, which tracks her weight, blood pressure, pulse oxygen, and heart rate, and sends this information to her care team. Her care team knows when she experiences a slight elevation in weight and blood pressure. The meaningful combination of structured and unstructured data enables her care team to make a timely adjustment to her medication rather than Mildred visiting the costly emergency department or being hospitalized days later.
The Data Analytics Summit brings together researchers, educators, students, leaders, and practitioners in business and government who are working on Big Data Analytics issues. The summit takes place on December 14-16, 2015 in Harrisburg, PA. Caron is speaking at 9 a.m. on December 15. For more information, see http://analyticssummit.harrisburgu.edu/schedule/.
In the coming months, Mark Caron and Heather Lavoie, chief strategy officer, will be speaking extensively about how Geneia combines structured and unstructured data to improve the health and cost of patient care. To view their speaking schedule, visit: http://geneia.com/news-and-events/events/.
