Gentilly Kitchen + Bar Serves Up Southern Fare To Benefit Louisiana Flood Victims

New Orleans-Inspired Menu and Silent Auction will Provide Relief for Displaced Residents

NEW YORK, March 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Gentilly Kitchen + Bar, which celebrates the essence of New Orleans with a new spin on classic southern dishes and drinks and a laissez-faire ambiance, will support its deep roots to the South and host a benefit for the victims of the floods that have ravaged Louisiana.

Gentilly will host a fundraiser and silent auction on Wednesday, March 23, from 5 PM to 9 PM.  Dinner will be served family style, and 100 percent of the proceeds from the silent auction will go directly to benefit the flood victims. 

Menu items will feature some of the restaurant's signature dishes, like Seafood Gumbo, Fried Chicken and Red Beans and Rice. Some of the items available through the silent auction include Gentilly gift certificates, memorabilia, art and more.  

Torrential downpours have destroyed homes and neighborhoods, declaring parts of northern Louisiana as disaster zones. Restaurateur, Andre Neyrey, owner of Gentilly and President and CEO of Blackwood Hospitality, grew up in New Orleans.

"Louisiana is such a resilient state," said Neyrey. "We just want to do our part to make sure that those who have been displaced from the flooding get back on their feet as soon as possible."
