Genworth Financial Announces Results of Annual Meeting
RICHMOND, Va., May 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Genworth Financial, Inc. (NYSE: GNW) announced the election of all ten directors nominated at its 2014 annual meeting of stockholders today. The board members elected were William H. Bolinder, G. Kent Conrad, Melina E. Higgins, Nancy J. Karch, Thomas J. McInerney, Christine B. Mead, David M. Moffett, Thomas E. Moloney, James A. Parke, and James S. Riepe.
At the annual meeting, stockholders also approved the advisory vote on named executive officer compensation and ratified the selection of KPMG LLP as Genworth's independent registered public accounting firm for 2014. The stockholders did not approve the stockholder proposal advocating increased disclosure of political contributions.
