SAN JOSE, Calif., March 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- GetTaxi today announced its intention to use the TripThru global hub.
GetTaxi is the largest by revenues on-demand taxi app after Uber that operates in 32 cities, including NYC, London, Moscow and Tel Aviv. GetTaxi offers equally successful B2C and B2B taxi solutions where it's a global leader and the choice of almost half of Fortune 500 companies.
TripThru is a neutral integration hub for on-demand ground transportation apps, set to become operational later this year. GetTaxi, known as Gett in the U.S., is growing 300% year-over-year.
The TripThru hub will give GetTaxi seamless access to on-demand ground transportation providers worldwide. Networks in the hub will have the ability to refer ride requests between themselves, on an as-needed basis, in order to give their apps broad global coverage.
Edward Hamilton, TripThru's founder, said "GetTaxi's clientele puts a premium on service and simplicity. We can support that globally. Our mission is to add another layer of connectivity for GetTaxi. GetTaxi users will have global access (beyond territories they operate in), but will never need to leave the GetTaxi app, or sacrifice the services that go with it."
GetTaxi is known for having licensed drivers, predictable pricing (no surges), and the ability to pre-book a ride in advance. GetTaxi is currently available in the U.S., U.K., Israel and Russia.
According to GetTaxi founder Shahar Waiser, "We like the idea of a flexible hub that can facilitate synergies between networks, but remain a completely neutral back office infrastructure between on demand taxi providers globally. On-demand resource sharing has the potential to release a lot of supply in a market that is very supply-driven."
The TripThru hub is a market neutral cloud platform for on-demand ground transportation apps that facilitates cooperation between networks in a way that is flexible, efficient and customizable.
