Gigatone's myRecordFantasy with Micky Dolenz to Feature Peter Tork

SACRAMENTO, Calif. and NEW YORK,  July 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Gigatone Entertainment, a next generation entertainment company based in Sacramento and Hollywood announced the appearance of Peter Tork, former guitarist of The Monkees, at myRecordFantasy with Micky Dolenz August 2-4, 2010 in Sacramento, California. Tork is the latest in a series of special guest announcements made for the event.

Tork, a gifted multi-instrumentalist, was the guitarist for The Monkees and along with his bandmates Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith, and Davy Jones, became a household name in the 1960's. Having landed the gig after auditioning for the part of the guitarist for The Monkees, Tork was embraced and endeared by fans as the lovable clown of the group. Tork's musical prowess as a musician and songwriter became evident with his song "For Pete's Sake," which was used during the second season credits of The Monkees television show. Tork formed Shoe Suede Blues in the 1990's and has since shared the stage with legends such as Ray Charles, B.B. King, Chaka Khan, and The Righteous Brothers.

This surprise element and the fan-artist interaction are the basis for the Web based reality show chronicling the myRecordFantasy experience.
