Giovanni Sutera Wins European Masters of Poker Italy

Italian Giovanni Sutera came from final table short stack to take down the European Masters of Poker Italy winning EUR85,220 for topping the 386 strong field in Campione.

Sutera quadrupled up three-handed to reinvigorate his challenged and, after Urek Primoz was dispatched in third place at Casino di Campione, Sutera and fellow Italian Fabio Percopo got all their chips in pre-flop with the former holding Ac-7c and the latter holding K-T.

The board fell 7c-6x-3c, catapulting Sutera into the lead with a pair of sevens while the 9c on the turn sealed Percopo's fate, filling Sutera's flush and sending him home champion.
