TEL AVIV, Israel, May 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The USPTO has granted a patent for the GizmoxTS technology which enables the migration of legacy n-tier desktop applications to modern platforms, including up-to-the-minute web frameworks, cloud applications and added mobile form factors. According to Gartner, application modernization is a multi-billion-dollar industry.
Prior to the introduction of its technology, many IT organizations had to resort to manually re-developing their legacy core business applications, some of which have been in production for decades. This process is in many cases lengthy, costly and resource hungry. What's worse – it often fails in terms of budget, timeline and in many cases even basic technical goals.
Digital re-architecting and re-writing technology from GizmoxTS allows a quick shift to the new platforms. Its guiding principle, for which the patent was granted, is based on algorithmically achieving 'full code understanding' of all the system's components. In turn, this understanding results in automatically mapping all legacy system components with components compatible with the target platform.
