Global Science & Technology, Inc. Awarded GSA OASIS Small Business Contract
GST Selected to Provide Government-Wide Professional Services Under the GSA OASIS SB Contract
GREENBELT, Md., Sept. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Science & Technology, Inc. (GST), a leading innovator of scientific products and services for satellite and weather systems, was awarded the government-wide One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services (OASIS) from the General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Acquisition Service (FAS). GST was selected to provide the government best-value solutions for complex professional service requirements in the Small Business (SB) category in Pool 4. The OASIS SB award has an estimated multi-billion dollar value with an unlimited ceiling for the OASIS Small Business Community.
GST was selected based on its excellent past performance and demonstrated success managing highly complex scientific programs at NASA, NOAA, and other federal agencies. "This award recognizes that our quality processes, risk management approaches, and customer service focus, along with our exceptional staff, have gained us recognition as a state-of-the-art science and technology services company to provide low risk solutions to the government," said GST CEO Chieh-san Cheng.
OASIS was developed by the GSA to give all federal government agencies the ability to procure complex professional services for services considered too difficult to procure with Multiple Award Schedules (MAS). OASIS is usable under any contract type (cost reimbursement, fixed price, time and materials, etc.). It is designed to address multiple professional service disciplines; projects that create an environment of elevated risk due to their unanticipated nature; projects that require flexibility for all contract type task orders and other direct costs at the task order level; and projects that are difficult to specify or quantify prior to award. OASIS has no program ceiling, a five-year base and one five-year option, and provides for long-term planning for complex program requirements. Through OASIS, agencies can plan socioeconomic set asides to meet their goals and support 8(a), HUBZone, and SDVOSB direct awards.
GST was selected for Pool 4 of the Small Business category for Research and Development in Biotechnology (NAICS Code 541711) and Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering and Life Sciences (NAICS Code 541712) for companies under 500 employees. The scope of GST's OASIS core disciplines include Program Management Services, Management Consulting Services, Scientific Services, Engineering Services, Logistics Services, Financial Management Services, Ancillary Support Services, and Ancillary Support Services for IT.
"As an OASIS SB contractor, GST has no predetermined subcontractors and partners. And, we are and will continue to be looking for the best partners for each individual task order opportunity on the vehicle," said Dr. Celeste Jarvis, GST Chief Operating Officer. "We are interested in partners that bring complementary capabilities to serve OASIS customer agencies as well as bring successful experience and history with OASIS customer agencies."
