Goddard Launches Issue Advocacy Institute
Program Kicks Off with Seminar in Cairo, Egypt in February 2014
WASHINGTON, Nov. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Ben Goddard's Washington, D.C. and London-based issue advocacy teams today announced the launch of the Goddard Institute of Public Affairs.
Goddard Institute of Public Affairs seminars provide tailored, issue-specific advocacy training for non-profit associations, corporate government relations and communications staff, legal teams, issue advertisers, and students.
Seminars cover all facets of advocacy campaign management including research analysis, strategy development, messaging, coalition building, grassroots and grasstops campaigns, digital, earned and paid media, and issue advertising.
"This program is a long time in the making," said the Goddard Institute of Public Affairs co-founder, Gerry Gunster. "For years now, the Goddard executive team has hosted professional training events around the world. But with today's announcement, we're formalizing the school in order to share our methodology, strategies, and winning campaign formula with a broader national and international audience."
As industry insiders know, Ben Goddard was the first to introduce issue advocacy advertising to the American public back in 1994 with the hugely successful Harry & Louise television campaign.
Goddard's philosophies are at the core of the program.
The program's case-study-based instruction can be formatted to accommodate everything from one-on-one sessions to large group seminars. Half-day and multi-week instructions are also available.
Goddard's own executive team will conduct all Goddard Institute of Public Affairs seminars. The team is also pleased to announce that Former Congressman Larry LaRocco will be taking part as a course instructor.
"Having served on the receiving end of these campaigns, I look forward to giving participants a first-hand account of what works and what doesn't," said Mr. LaRocco of his role in the program.
Former Congressman LaRocco and members of the Goddard executive staff will host their first seminar in Cairo, Egypt this February. Those interested in learning more about the Goddard Institute of Public Affairs are invited to visit www.GoddardInstitute.com.
