OCALA, Fla., Nov. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club's 2015 Men's Invitational is scheduled for Nov. 20 – 22.

The 8th Annual Two-Man Invitational Golf Tournament's practice round is Nov. 20 with an optional "skins" game. The format of the official competition on Nov. 21 and 22 is four-ball stroke play – both days are Best Ball. Four-ball stroke play is 36 holes (scratch within your flight).

The competition field is limited to 48 paid teams with six flights of eight teams per flight. Handicapped indexes are required on paid entry forms for first-round pairing purposes.

Gross scores from Saturday's rounds will determine teams' flighting. Teams will play to scratch following their flighting designation.

Director of Golf, Mike Cooney, said Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club hosts the tournament as a way to share the course's beauty and artistic development.

"This is our opportunity to showcase the golf course," Cooney said. The golf course was over seeded using ryegrass three weeks ago to produce a fuller, brighter feel for winter playing. "It gives the course more color."

Cooney said the majority of the tournament players are exceptional golfers, many with handicaps at or below 5.
