Good Technology Acquires Fixmo Security Business

NEW YORK and SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Good Technology™, the leader in secure mobility, today announced it has completed the acquisition of certain assets of Fixmo Inc., including Fixmo U.S., Inc., and will integrate Fixmo's Sentinel Integrity Services and other key products into the company's industry-leading secure mobility platform. With this continued investment in security and scalability, Good is enhancing its comprehensive, end-to-end product solution and making a significant investment in the company's growing public sector business.

Developed under a Co-operative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), Fixmo Sentinel Integrity Services helps IT organizations ensure mobile devices start and remain in a known trusted state and within corporate compliance. According to the US Digital Government Strategy, it is more crucial than ever that government agencies take the steps necessary to protect their data and build the right level of security into digital government services. Using patented techniques originally developed by the DoD, enterprises and government customers will be able to proactively detect the installation of unverified or disallowed third party software and undesired changes to software configurations or settings, as well as attempts at malicious tampering or rooting of the operating system.

Late last year, Fixmo was selected to provide mobile data protection and cyber security solutions for the U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). Fixmo's technology is used to secure mobile applications and protect the integrity and compliance of DISA-managed mobile devices. Additionally, Fixmo's enterprise mobility platform meets the full range of security requirements specified in the DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs) across Apple iOS and Samsung devices and is integrated and shipped in Samsung KNOX devices. Integrity Services is also a critical component named in the BlackBerry® 7 STIG and Fixmo announced last year plans to bring the Fixmo Sentinel device integrity verification and tamper detection solution to the BlackBerry 10 platform.
