Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake to Host Job and Resource Fair for West Baltimore Community
Through United Way grant, Goodwill helps those in need
BALTIMORE, Oct. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake will host a job and resource fair this Monday, October 5th from 11 am to 1:30 pm at the Grand Lodge of Maryland.
Goodwill is hosting the career fair to help local residents find employment, especially those who have been impacted by the unrest in West Baltimore. The job and resource fair is funded by the United Way of Central Maryland's Maryland Unites Fund grant program. The grant will help Goodwill connect individuals in the 21215, 21216 and 21217 zip codes with services they need and employment opportunities from various agencies.
Vendors and employers scheduled to attend include: Women Accepting Responsibility, Baltimore City Community College's Year Up Baltimore, Jubilee Arts, MedStar Health, the Mayor's Office of Human Services, Maryland Hunger Solutions, Wells Fargo, Enterprise Holdings, Maryland Legal Aid, D&L Cleanup, United Healthcare Community Plan, Baltimore City Fire Department, Rite Aid Pharmacy, Absolute Staffing and Consulting Services, No Boundaries Coalition, Moveable Feast, Randstad USA, Marriott Hotel and Goodwill's own Waverly Early Head Start Center, STEP program, Career Services department and Goodwill Staffing Services.

Goodwill will also be holding additional job and resource fairs funded by the United Way for the West Baltimore Community on Monday, November 9th at the Delta Community Center and Monday, December 14 at Coppin State University. Additionally, Goodwill will host its own career fair on Wednesday, October 21 at Goodwill headquarters, located at 222 E. Redwood Street, Baltimore MD 21202.
