Governor Corbett Issues Flag Order to Honor Fallen Butler County Soldier
HARRISBURG, Pa., Aug. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Tom Corbett ordered all U.S. and Pennsylvania flags in the Capitol Complex and at commonwealth facilities in Butler County lowered to half-staff on Monday, Aug. 27 in honor of Army Staff Sgt. Eric S. Holman.
Holman, 39, was killed in action Aug. 15 in Afghanistan. He served with the 767th Explosive Ordnance Disposition Battalion from Fort Bragg, N.C.
Holman's funeral is scheduled for Monday, near his home in Evans City, Butler County.
Under a separate order issued by Gov. Corbett, flags at the Capitol Complex and in Philadelphia will be at half-staff on Monday to honor Philadelphia Police Officer Moses Walker Jr., who was killed on Aug. 18.
All Pennsylvanians are invited to join in these tributes.
