Governor Gary Herbert to Keynote Provo College's Commencement Ceremony
PROVO, Utah, May 20 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Provo College, providing degree, certification and diploma programs in Utah, announced today that Governor Gary Herbert will give the commencement address to 167 upcoming graduates and their families on Saturday, May 22nd. The ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Provo Tabernacle in Provo, Utah.
Utah State Governor Herbert will give the commencement address. Gordon Peters, Campus President, will confer the degrees.
Governor Herbert is Utah's 17th governor. Prior to becoming governor, he served as Lieutenant Governor under Governor Jon M. Huntsman, Jr. for nearly five years, before taking the oath of office on Aug. 11, 2009. Governor Herbert was born in American Fork, Utah, and raised in Orem, Utah. In his inaugural address, Governor Herbert outlined his three main priorities of economic development, public and higher education, and energy development.
