Pain Management Physician Dr. Kamran Saraf Is Now Accepting New Patients in Olney, Maryland.
OLNEY, Md., May 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Kamran Saraf is pleased to announce the grand opening of Potomac Spine & Pain Specialists in Olney, Maryland. All patients will be seen and treated personally by Dr. Saraf, who is double board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Management.
Dr. Saraf grew up in Maryland and attended the University of Maryland and Georgetown University. He attended medical school at the University of Miami.
He completed his residency at the prestigious Texas Medical Center/MD Anderson in Houston and Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. He then went on to complete his sub-specialty fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Saraf has presented at multiple conferences, including the annual MedChi (Maryland State Medical Society) meeting on Pain Management and currently serves on the staff of The Johns Hopkins University Medical Center. He is also on the board of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians – Maryland chapter.
"Our practice is committed to providing the highest quality care for our patients. We treat patients with an emphasis on functional status. We try our hardest to have our patients become active and 'get their lives back.' We believe that a sedentary lifestyle, obesity, and smoking lead to a vicious circle that only prolongs chronic pain symptoms and strongly encourage lifestyle changes in our patients. We also believe that some pain medications mask the symptoms and do not treat the source of the pain. We take a multimodal approach to treating chronic pain and tailor each treatment to the specific patient," said Dr. Saraf.
Dr. Saraf evaluates all new patients, their condition is thoroughly discussed, and a treatment plan will be outlined.
Dr. Saraf treats patients with neck and back pain due to degenerative disc disease or spondylosis/ facet joint arthritis, radiculopathy / sciatica, neuropathy, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), myofascial pain, arthritis of joints including shoulders, hips, knee, and sacroiliac joints, headaches and migraines, as well as other painful conditions. He also is an expert in lumbar discography and spinal cord stimulator implantation.
Most major insurance plans as well as workman's compensation are accepted. For more information and convenient scheduling, visit: http://www.PotomacSpineAndPain.com or call 240-650-9080.
