Green Chemistry Clearinghouse Annual Conference

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Jim Jones, Head of US EPA's TSCA program and Ben Dunham, Senior Advisor to the late U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg, will give their insider's view of the chances for toxic chemical reform in Congress at this year's Green Chemistry Conference, September 16 in San Francisco.

The Green Chemistry Conference will also focus on the regulatory developments that businesses are facing, not only on the state level, but Nationally and Internationally. Nicolas Herbatschek from the Brussels' law office of Hunton & Williams will give the opening address on what it costs US businesses to comply with EU Reach regulations. Karl Palmer, Chief of California's new Safer Consumer Products program, will focus on what manufacturers need to know to comply with this far-reaching regulation. Former Director of California Department of Toxic Substances Control, Maureen Gorsen, will help attendees unravel the myriad of other states' green chemistry laws.

Other panels at the one-day Conference will cover what companies need to know about supply chain issues and how to handle alternative assessments of their products.
