Grupo Aeromexico Reports 13.5 Percent Passenger Increase for November 2013
MEXICO CITY, Dec. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Grupo Aeromexico S.A.B. de C.V. ("Aeromexico") (BMV: AEROMEX), the largest airline in Mexico, reports its operating statistics for November 2013.
Grupo Aeromexico transported one million 412 thousand passengers in November, which represents a 13.5% year-on-year increase and the highest monthly growth rate of the year. Domestic passengers increased 12.0%, while international passengers increased 17.7%. Demand, measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometers (RPKs), increased 15.5% year-on-year; the most significant monthly increase reported since August 2011. The Company's capacity, measured in Available Seat Kilometers (ASKs), increased 11.9%, year-on-year. The November load factor was therefore 78.6%; a 2.5 percent increase, year-on-year.
Aeromexico has reached 88.6% on-time departure, year to date; a 9.3 percentage point improvement year-on-year.

- "Load Factor" equals the number of passengers transported as a percentage of the number of seats offered. It is a measure of the airline's capacity utilization. This metric takes into account the total passengers transported and total seats available in itinerary flights.
- "Passengers" refers to the total number of passengers transported by the airline.
- "On-time Departure performance" is based on the number of Grupo Aeromexico flights departing within 15 minutes of scheduled time.
