Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico Regrets to Announce that its Parent Company, Banco Santander, S.A. Chairman Emilio Botin has Passed Away
MEXICO CITY, Mexico, Sept. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico, S.A.B. de C.V. (BMV: SANMEX; NYSE: BSMX) ("Santander Mexico") regrets to announce that Banco Santander's Chairman Emilio Botin has passed away.
In accordance with the procedures set out in the rules and regulations of the board of Banco Santander, the appointments and remuneration committee and the board of directors will meet today to appoint the new chairman of the Bank.
