FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., May 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Enviro Voraxial Technology, Inc. (OTCBB: EVTN) announced today that the catastrophic oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico has resulted in an increase number of inquiries for EVTN's Voraxial® Separator.
The Voraxial® Separator is a unique in-line, continuous flow separator capable of separating large volumes of oil and water with greater efficiencies than solutions currently deployed. EVTN's high efficiency oil/ water separation technology represents a dramatic opportunity to advance the effectiveness of emergency oil spill response.
EVTN is currently participating in the Offshore Technology Conference ("OTC") May 3 - May 6 in Houston, Texas. OTC is the world's foremost event for the development of offshore energy resources in the fields of drilling, exploration, production and environmental protection. EVTN is showcasing various models of its Voraxial Separator and performing a live demonstration of the Voraxial performing a simulated oil spill recovery separation. EVTN has experienced a high volume of visitors at its booth during the first day of the conference.
The Voraxial® 2000 Separator processes and separates up to 2,000 barrels per day (bpd).
The Voraxial® 4000 Separator processes and separates up to 15,000 bpd.
The Voraxial® 8000 Separator processes and separates up to 100,000 bpd.
The current oil spill in the Gulf is estimated to be leaking at a rate of 5,000 barrels per day.
The Voraxial® can be installed on boats small enough to be transported by air for emergency deployment or mounted onboard large vessels for open-water oil spill recovery. The Voraxial can also be installed near the shoreline to capture and separate the oil prior to reaching land.
