Halcyon Incubator Opens Application for Second Class of Social Entrepreneurs

WASHINGTON, July 14, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Fresh off the heels of announcing its inaugural class of fellows, the Halcyon Incubator, the nation's most unique and forward-thinking social entrepreneur incubator program, today announced the opening of the application process for its second class of fellows.

Unlike other incubators that take a financial position in early-stage ventures in return for participation in their programs, the Halcyon Incubator does not require equity in its fellows' ventures. Committed to being a catalyst for social change, the Halcyon Incubator provides fellows with rent-free housing and office space, food and living stipends, mentorship, complimentary strategic, legal and PR resources, as well as access to a network of potential funders from a variety of sectors. No other social incubator in the country provides this level of comprehensive support.

Selected fellows will be exposed to thought leaders from the public and private sectors who will share best practices, experiences and advice in developing social ventures. To assist in organizational formation and technical needs, the Halcyon Incubator has developed strategic partnerships with market segment subject matter experts to guide fellows along the way. Most importantly, the program is designed to surround the fellows with other highly driven social entrepreneurs who collectively can motivate and drive each other towards organizational success.

The application period for the second class of fellows will close on September 18, 2014.
