NEW YORK, Jan. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/-- Continuing its 164-year history of offering the Best, the Only and the Unexpected, Hammacher Schlemmer introduces The Only Scootercase, a suitcase that converts into a scooter.
"The Only Scootercase has the same storage capacity as a traditional carry-on suitcase with the added benefit of providing a fun, faster way to reach a destination," explained Hammacher Schlemmer's General Manager Fred Berns.
The suitcase has two 4 1/4" in-line skate wheels built into its bottom and a footboard that folds out from the case, allowing riders to convey themselves while holding the telescoping suitcase handle.
Riders propel The Only Scootercase by pushing off of the ground with one foot, steer the unit by shifting their weight to one side, and stop using the rear-wheel step brake.
The Only Scootercase's interior provides 1' cu. of storage space and its 15" L x 11" W padded laptop compartment has three storage slots for documents and zips to close off the spacious interior for storing shoes, a lunch, or purse.
The Only Scootercase's back is made from durable ABS while the zippered front is made from sturdy nylon and is TSA-Approved for overhead or under-seat use.
The Only Scootercase is available from Hammacher Schlemmer for $299.95. For more information about this product, please visit http://www.hammacher.com/82128 or contact Trish Hammond at (847) 581-8987 or via e-mail at [email protected] .
