Harvest of Cascade Organic Farms New Crop Organic Wheat Progressing Well with Excellent Quality and High Yields
New Organic Wheat Crop at Cascade Organic Farms Yielding About 6,000 Pounds per Acre
ROYAL CITY, Wash., Aug. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Cascade Organic Flour, LLC. (dba Cascade Organic Farms) is harvesting its new crop of 1,500 acres of irrigated organic wheat, and the crop is looking very good, according to Cascade Organic Farms' personnel. In fact, a recent survey of its various irrigated fields of organic wheat by Cascade Organic Farms showed outstanding quality and yields.
Cascade Organic Farms is a family-owned and vertically integrated producer of organic wheat, organic flour, organic dry beans (pinto beans, black beans, etc.), and other organic crops in Washington State.
Cascade Organic Farms has several thousand acres of certified organic irrigated farmland near the east slopes of the Cascade Mountains, and we grow our wholesome organic wheat and other organic crops (dry beans, etc.) with Columbia River water fed by mountain glaciers. Our modern irrigation system(s) delivers the most efficient amount of water which ensures consistent production and yields of high quality organic wheat (and other organic crops) on our farms.
For the 2017 growing session, Cascade Organic Farms is estimating approximately 150,000 bushels or 9 million lbs. of new crop organic wheat (beginning in September) from our organic farms. Our yields of organic wheat and our protein levels (12% to 16%) are some of the highest in North America.
Additionally, Cascade Organic Farms can have its organic wheat cleaned, packaged and shipped (domestically or internationally) in 50 lb. bags, 2,000 lb. totes or super sacks, and/or in bulk.
Furthermore, we have a modern organic flour mill (Cascade Organic Flour) near our farm(s) and our special milling system utilizes the entire organic whole grain wheat (grown at Cascade Organic Farms) to produce healthy and natural organic whole wheat and white flours. The resulting organic whole wheat and white flours from Cascade Organic Flour's mill contain more macronutrients, protein and vitamins than refined fortified flours offered by traditional mills, which remove much of the protein and nutrients in the grain. Moreover, our organic flour is made up of much smaller particles and has similar functional, convenient and easy-baking qualities as refined flour, while still retaining all of the natural beneficial nutrients, vitamins, minerals, fiber, bran, and germ of the whole grain.
Cascade Organic Farms will be attending the upcoming Café & Bakery Fair in Seoul, Korea (from Oct. 18-21, 2017) to discuss its organic flour and its new crop of organic wheat with various international buyers.
