Hawaii Department of Health Contracts with BioTrackTHC™ to Implement Medical Marijuana Seed-to-Sale Tracking and Traceability System

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., Nov. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hawaii State Department of Health has signed a contract with BioTrackTHC™, formally authorizing the company to begin work on the development and deployment of the BioTrackTHC™ integrated tracking and traceability software system for the state's Medical Marijuana Dispensary Licensing Program.

The Medical Marijuana Dispensary Licensing Program was created by Act 241 (Session Laws of Hawaii 2015) and, per the Department of Health's website, was "designed to ensure medical marijuana is accessible for Hawaii's patients while making patient safety and public safety its ultimate priorities."

Including Puerto Rico Department of Health's recent announcement of its intent to award a contract to BioTrackTHC™, the company's total government contract count for cannabis software has reached seven.
