AUSTIN, Texas and DALLAS and DENVER and HOUSTON and MEXICO CITY and ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. and RICHARDSON, Texas, Dec. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Haynes and Boone, LLP is proud to announce promotion to partnership of 13 lawyers, tying the record for the largest new class in the history of the firm. The new class represents the firm's Austin, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Mexico City, Orange County and Richardson offices.

The new class is comprised of Gerardo Carrillo, Todd Cubbage, Theo Foster, Matthew Fry, Gavin George, Evan Hall, Autumn Highsmith, Tom King, Monika Singh Sanford, Adam Sencenbaugh, Michael Threet, Kristina Trauger and Robert Ziemian.

Gerardo Carrillo is a member of the firm's International Practice in Mexico City. Carrillo has significant experience in the Mexican market, and has been dedicated to providing exceptional service to his clients for more than 15 years. His experience includes advisory in all regions of the Mexican territory, where he has served various industries and clients, most notably in multiple M&A and development transactions with industrial, commercial, residential, and hospitality properties in Mexico. Carrillo received his juris doctor from Universidad Iberoamericana with highest honors and will obtain his MBA from Ipade Business School in 2016.

Todd Cubbage is a member of the Finance Practice in Dallas. He has extensive experience in the financial services industry representing lenders and commercial paper conduits in structuring, negotiating and documenting sophisticated lending arrangements. Since 2002, his legal practice has primarily focused on assisting lenders arrange multi-jurisdictional, subscription secured credit facilities with preeminent private equity and real estate funds, and, as a result, Cubbage has served as lead counsel on some of the largest credit facilities of this type. He received his bachelor's in finance from Oklahoma State University, his juris doctor from the University of Tulsa and a master of laws in financial services law from Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Theo Foster is a member of the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group in Richardson, Texas. Foster has an active practice representing clients in inter partes review challenges and other post-grant trials before the US Patent and Trademark Office. In addition to arguing several oral hearings, Foster has also handled appeals from the Patent Trial and Appeal Board to the Federal Circuit. Foster works with clients to review and pursue patent purchase and licensing opportunities, and counsels them on how to best grow their patent portfolios organically by drafting and prosecuting new patent applications. Foster received his juris doctor magna cum laude from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.

Matthew Fry is a member of the Capital Markets and Securities practice group in the Dallas office. His practice focuses primarily on corporate and securities matters, with a concentration on public and private securities offerings. His other areas of practice include periodic reporting compliance with the SEC, corporate governance and public and private mergers and acquisitions. Fry earned his juris doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and his bachelor's from Baylor University.

Gavin George is a member of Haynes and Boone's Intellectual Property Practice Group in Dallas. His practice covers technology transactions, data security, and privacy in the information age. George facilitates business transactions involving the licensing, development, and transfer of software, data, and other technology. He regularly drafts, revises, and negotiates information technology contracts, intellectual property licenses, online terms, and cloud service agreements. George received his juris doctor from the University of Michigan Law School.

Evan K. Hall is a member of the Investment Management Practice Group in the Dallas and Austin offices. His practice focuses on the representation of investment managers, including advisors to domestic and offshore private equity funds, hedge funds, real estate funds, energy funds, commodity pools and other types of clients, in connection with (i) the formation, organization, offering and operation of investment funds, investment managers and related vehicles, (ii) registration of investment managers with the SEC, CFTC and other regulatory authorities, (iii) ongoing compliance with laws and regulations applicable to investment funds and managers, and (iv) securities and regulatory filings. Evan also represents institutional investors, including pension plans and university endowments, in connection with due diligence reviews of prospective private fund investments and the negotiation of side letters and seed arrangements. He received his bachelor's magna cum laude in Political Science from Baylor University in 2004 and his juris doctor magna cum laude from Baylor University School of Law in July 2007.

Autumn D. Highsmith is a member of the Bankruptcy and Business Restructuring Practice in Dallas. Highsmith represents debtors, secured creditors, unsecured creditors, administrative agents, lessors, asset purchasers, and other parties in complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters and advises corporate clients in their business dealings with financially distressed counterparties. She has handled many aviation and oil and gas bankruptcy matters and serves as go-to counsel for her aviation and oil and gas clients. Highsmith received both her bachelor's and juris doctor degrees from Baylor University.

Thomas King is a member of the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group in the Orange County office. He handles patent litigation and is one of the most active attorneys in the country in PTAB trials such as inter partes reviews, where he represents both petitioners and patent owners. He received his bachelor's in computer engineering from Brigham Young University and his juris doctor from Columbia Law School.

Monika Singh Sanford is a member of the Finance Practice in Dallas. Sanford's practice focuses on the representation of financial institutions and borrowers in commercial loan transactions. She has experience in representing lenders with negotiating and documenting loans to real estate private equity funds in connection with subscription secured financings as well as negotiating and documenting other secured and unsecured transactions. Additionally, Sanford has represented borrowers in intercreditor relationships and in subordinated financing transactions, and has represented issuers in connection with offerings of senior secured notes. She earned her bachelor's in finance from the University of Texas at Austin and her juris doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. In addition to her practice, Sanford is active in industry organizations and was recently elected president of the Dallas Asian American Bar Association for 2016.

Adam Sencenbaugh is a member of the Litigation Practice Group in Austin. He represents clients in employment litigation and general civil litigation in arbitration, federal court, state court, the State Office of Administrative Hearings ("SOAH"), and various state administrative agencies. Sencenbaugh counsels clients navigating a wide range of employment law issues, including compliance with Title VII, section 1981, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, and FLSA. His employment litigation practice is focused on defending clients against claims of systemic discrimination prosecuted by the EEOC, as well as protecting employers against unfair competition and breaches of fiduciary duties. Sencenbaugh received his bachelor's degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and his juris doctor from the University of Texas at Austin.

Michael Threet is a member of the Business Planning and Tax Practice Group in Dallas. His practice is focused in the areas of federal and state taxation of investment funds, corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies and individuals. Threet's experience includes tax and business planning for corporate acquisitions, reorganizations, and liquidations; business and real estate transactions; debt and equity offerings; and investment fund, corporate, partnership, and limited liability company formations and operations, as well as federal and state tax controversies. He earned his juris doctor from southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and his master of laws in taxation from New York University School of Law.

Kristina Trauger is a member of the Capital Markets and Securities, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Energy Practice Groups in the Houston office. She concentrates her practice on the representation of publicly traded and privately held companies, investment banks and investors in a wide range of corporate transactions that includes securities offerings, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and restructurings. Trauger also advises clients on corporate governance, securities law compliance and SEC reporting matters. She represents clients in a range of industries in the U.S. and internationally including energy, technology, retail branding, healthcare and biomedical technology. Trauger earned her MBA in finance and her juris doctor from Seton Hall University.

Robert Ziemian is a member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group in Denver. He has a diverse technological background and has worked prosecuting, enforcing and licensing patents in the areas of medical devices, chemical engineering and industrial process flow, automotive technologies, telecom, e-commerce, targeted marketing, software and electronic gaming. His experience focuses on a holistic perspective in patent portfolio-building that includes filing and prosecuting patents, analyzing existing assets and identifying and acquiring new assets. Ziemian also enforces patents and trademarks on a global basis and utilizes a diverse set of solutions to solve issues with infringers. He received his bachelor's degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his juris doctor with an intellectual property concentration cum laude with distinction from Suffolk University Law School.
