"Addiction affects people of all ages, and Hazelden understands the growing need for outpatient treatment for busy families," says Mark G. Mishek, president and CEO of Hazelden. "In addition to expanding services for adults, Hazelden is reaching out like never before to young people. We don't want them missing out on the good stuff of growing up: being with friends they can count on, figuring out what they're good at and achieving their academic goals."
Hazelden in Chaska will open its doors to adults on March 1, and to adolescents on April 1. The clinic is located on the third floor of the Hazeltine Gates building, 1107 Hazeltine Blvd., with easy access from Highways 212 and 41. The 5,400-square-foot clinic features separate spaces for youths and adults, including a gathering place for young people that promotes peer connection and kinetic learning. The north-facing windows open to a view of the Chaska Municipal Golf Course.
Services will include:
- Adult Intensive Outpatient Program
- Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program
- Assessments
- Extended Outpatient Services
- Mental Health Services
- Continuing Care
"The success of our Maple Grove clinic shows us that there is a demand in our suburban areas for both chemical health and mental health services," says Terri Hayden, executive director of Hazelden in St. Paul. "Opening an outpatient clinic in this area allows us to meet the needs of both adults and youths, and advances our strategic objective of serving more people."
Hazelden currently has residential and/or outpatient addiction treatment clinics in Center City, Plymouth, and St. Paul, Minn., as well as Chicago, New York City, Newberg, Ore., and Naples, Fla.
